It’s getting a bit bumpy
Hey guys (and gals). Thought I’d come in and blog a bit, since I don’t really have class until 11:00 and it’s only 8:20.
Had to get up earlier than usual this morning to meet with my friend in organic chem so we could exchange answers on our take home tests. I worked on it last night and kinda struggled with it, but it turns out I got more problems right than wrong when I compared them, so that was a relief. Can’t say I’m as fortunate in calculus. In there, I watch the teach put the problems on the board, and I get what he’s doing. Then when I go home and attempt the homework, my mind blanks out and I screw it all up. It isn’t really the calc that’s hard, it’s all the underlying algebra/trig that I’ve forgotten most of. You screw up one little part and you mess up the entire problem, yanno? The past few nights I really considered changing my major again just to get out of calc, but I realize that that isn’t an option for me. I’m just going to have to put my nose in the book more than currently am. I’m hoping that I haven’t fallen overboard with this stuff so much that I can’t make it back on-board. That’ll probably mean going back and doing some past homework assignments.
I tell ya, I’ve been having a lot of days where I’ve about felt like throwing my arms up and saying “To hell with it!” But I don’t suppose putting off homework has helped me much in that matter. -sigh- If only it were a perfect world where they had a cure for procrastination and laziness… :P

There is a cure for it! It’s called the “Get Your Ass in Gear” pill. It’s worked wonders for me though there are still residual laziness spells interspersed here and there but eventually I power through it.
In all seriousness, I’ve been actually making a concerted effort to not procrastinate my way into the ground. Helps a lot that I try and get the homework done the day we go over the stuff in class. I’m still having a pain forcing myself to read but overall I’m doing an alright job. But if I ever fall immensely behind I’ll probably resort to going to the free campus tutors and such. I really don’t want to do bad in school anymore.
So yeah. Get your ass in gear =D

I’m gonna have to…God knows if I don’t I’ll get my ass handed to me before I even know what hits me when (if) I get to the uni. :O
