Well, I was just visiting some music shops lately and I checked the local music section due to my interest in some of the bands around here. Well, as fate would have it, I found a copy of a CD by a local Rock band called The Upright Animals. I’d never heard of them before, so I went up front and asked the clerk about it. She said that some lady had come by and dropped off a bunch of the band’s CDs for free. So, since it was free, I took one and popped it into my CD player in my car.

I’ll be serious when I say that a band like this only needs to find a good national showcase to go someplace. Their sound is like a throwback to older Rock. It’s a bit fuzzy, and a bit chewy, but it’s good and hard as well. The song I tossed on here is called “Interest,” and you can find more from them on their myspace page.
