Back in the swing of things
The Christmas/New Year’s break is almost over. Come next Monday I’ll be starting my classes again. I’m going to go to the college tomorrow and fix up my schedule. I’m gonna take biology off and replace it with trig. I didn’t score high enough to get into calculus, so I figure since I’m taking chemistry in a two-class sequence, I don’t really need bio despite what the lady at the front desk suggested. I only need one science field taken in two parts, and seeing as how I hate biology, it makes better sense to go for chemistry instead. Chem pwns bio any day. Can’t say I’m looking forward to taking trig again, but at least this time around I’ll know what to expect.
I talked to my friend Burney last night for the first time in a while. Saturday is his last day here, then he gets stationed in Hawaii for at least a year….lucky bastard. He said Japan is a short flight away from HI, and he plans on visiting a couple of times. Hopefully one day I can go over there too. Ahh well, I’ll be hitting up England and France in March, so I’m pretty excited about that.
I’ve slacked up on my German. To be honest, I’m pretty much at a standstill with it. I try reading through the textbook I checked out from the library, and I sort of understand one thing and stumble with the rest. I may just be making it harder than what it really is, but I do know I need to develop better study habits for it as well. I think I read a little too far into it before I grasp what I just read. I’m gonna try to fine tune my time management (or lack thereof).
Rob says:
I’m heading to my new Uni. on Monday to make my tuition payments and grab textbooks for JAPANESE II WOOT.
Finishing up stuff at the Community College too, so I should have my Associate’s by the end of summer.
