Personal Site

Just finished updating the look of my personal site. Have to say I’m fairly pleased with it. For some reason it didn’t take me that long to think up, code, then finalize it. Did it all pretty much in four-five hours. Biggest thing I ran into was some wonkiness from Wordpress that was entirely my fault. And after I sorted that out things just went smoothly after that.

As I was building the site I decided to ditch my del.icio.us feed just cause I don’t use it. If I ever feel like picking it up again I’ll probably have to redesign my site just cause there isn’t enough space with the current style. I like everything being in one place without having to scroll. There was one feature I did want to add that I wasn’t able to for the same reason. I was hoping to have a quote of the day type thing. I may be able to put on in in between my twitter and sushiplane feed. Could work.

The only thing I don’t like about the design is that it doesn’t feed organic. Everything still feels two dimensional which has been a problem with all my designs. I’ll just keep tweaking until I’m more or less satisfied with it. So yeah hope you guys like it.

Fun :o I get the 2d feel you talked about, but it’s not a bad thing at all really.
