Hey guys, long time no see. :)

Well, in a nutshell, here is my last few months.

Went back to school. I’m taking five classes, and am waiting for my acceptance at the U of Missouri STL to start part-time classes there for Japanese language study. This semester has been pretty nice so far. Taking Math 121 to try to get past it to 160 for my Gen Ed Associates. It’s not terribly hard, but it’s annoying. I’m bad at math too. Speech 101 is another required one, but it’s not hard at all. I’m good at public speaking, and things could be much much worse. After that is Anthropology 220, which is Middle Eastern Cultural Anthro. It’s not…bad…but it isn’t great either. The teacher is a Dr., but she doesn’t really understand that what she is teaching is a very socially determined thing, and that opinions are GREATLY part of the process of conclusions in the field. After that is Anthropology 101 – I know, I know, kinda silly to take a 101 and 220 right? Well, no matter. Not a bad class either, and I’m thinking about minoring in cultural anthropology myself. Maybe. My last class is Sociology 102, which is a 1 on 1 with my Professor. He’s an interesting guy. We share alot of opinions on social theory and modern political development. I read(skim*) a chapter, and give him my opinions, and we discuss the findings. I write a small essay on my readings every few weeks, and it’s working well so far.

Work is bleh. I like it, it’s not hard, it pays pretty well, but it should be much better honestly. I’m applying at Borders right after I write this, so good luck and good riddance hopefully. Roughly figuring, I make about $7.40 at my current job with tips, spread over a bi-weekly basis of 5.40 and hour. I get around 26 hours a week, which means that I make about 55$ in tips every two weeks – I don’t, not really. Borders will START me at 7.50 with a .1$ increase every three months (so .40 a year, which trumps my current .25 a year).

In online life; I was offered an uploader/upload mod position for Nigihana.com (an asian media website). If you guys ever need something, we have a DDL server and offer mirrors for just about everything we upload. It’s very nice overall actually. I’m also now in a commanding officer position with the 75th, so come play again Carlo :P

In RAWK news. I joined a band! It’s name is Fleet Street, and for now I’m the lead and rhythm guitarist as well as backup vocals. To celebrate this, I justified buying a new amp! I was at the music shop and saw a used Crate GS series amp for 150$. this is both nice AND inside my price bracket. So, they fixed it up for me and I bought it a week later. Now, I had originally thought it was a 35w amp. When I was considering it or a 35w Peavy Python, I checked the wattage and lo and behold – the Crate was a 150 watt amp. Regardless of Crate’s only OK quality, a 150 watt amp for $150 is not something I could pass up. Power and nice clean/overdrive settings sold me. It’s pretty big (about 2 x 2 feet) and can rattle my floor, so it will work for now. I’ll post songs when we get some recorded. :)
