Heya guys! S’been a good while since I posted anything half-way worth sharing. Not really anything new happening around these parts unfortunately.

School’s school. Most of my classes are going good…although trig could be better. I’ve been hitting it off pretty well with a few folks from my chemistry class/lab. You might say it’s a class that I dread and look forward to at the same time. Or rather, the lab is what I kinda dread most of the time. It’s not bad, it can just be very tedious keeping up with all the procedures and calculations and whatnot. British lit is always a pleasure to attend. The teacher tells us all stories of her own life that kind of tie in with the literature that we are reading. I’ve always had an interest in stories like that anyway. Internet multimedia is kinda…boring? I’m picking up a few new things and all, but half the stuff we’re doing in there is stuff I already know about (using GIMP, Audacity, how to rip MP3s with Media Player, blah blah)…and wouldn’t you know the teacher is a control freak? She’ll deactivate our monitors if we go screw off on the web or whatever while she’s lecturing. That’s probably the worst part of the whole class…almost agonizing waiting for her to wrap it up so we can get going with our assignments. Oh well…

In German, I’m moving along pretty steadily. I’m actually surprised at how easy it’s been to pick up (so far). My sociology teacher from back in ‘07 found me in the student center and told me that he had an advisee that was from Germany and spoke it fluently, so I gave him my email to give to her. Hopefully we can start meeting once or so every week if our schedules allow it. Just wish I could find more people that were interested in actually learning it too.

In computers, I kicked Vista off and went back to XP. My curiosity for Vista and DX10 has been satisfied, and I gotta say it’s nice to be able to launch my games successfully without having to worry about seeing a sudden blue screen of death before they even load up. <3 DX10 was nice, but it’s not really that big a difference from DX9 from what I’ve seen. I’ve been out of the gaming loop lately anyway. Nothing is appealing to me right now for some reason. I’m actually at the point of not caring. Guess I’ve got other things on my mind prioritized first. Who knows, maybe something decent’ll come out soon, eh?
