Hiyo
Hey guys. Finally got my internet kinks worked out. It’s been spotty ever since I moved in so wasn’t really able to get online much. The university for some odd reason is using Time Warner for internet here so yeah it’s weird. Anyway started my third week of classes today and it’s all going well. Got quite a bit of homework but nothing unbearable. And now for some videos!
First off some sad news. Toonami, the bread and butter of my youth, was canceled last Saturday. Here’s their final broadcast. There’s a nice little Spike quote thrown in to really tug at the strings of your heart. I remember watching my man Johnny Quest, Thundercats, Voltron, and other shows when Toonami first came to be back in 1997. And from every year on I was eating all their shows up. It wasn’t till few years ago that I finally stopped watching, mainly cause everything was fairly crappy or just too young for me. Even then, I’ll still miss this block of shows.
Onto something more uplifting. Not sure if you guys have seen this yet. It’s been floating around the internet for a while. In case you haven’t introducing Where the Hell is Matt? Probably one of the coolest videos the internets has ever produced. Sure it may not be flashy, but damned if it doesn’t make me smile.
Rob says:
I remember staying up late to watch anime on Saturday nights on toonami. It’s what began my downward spiral into latenight gaming sessions XD 4am baby oh yeah! That quote at the end really does bring a tear to the eye. I mena,w tihout toonami, I’d have never seen Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, Gundam Wing, Dragonball and Z, (and sailor moon…>_>)
Good times.
Also, WOW. That video is truly awesome. I mean, he went to so many places and connected with so many people it’s astounding. o.o
