Back-trackin’ time
Recently, I managed to get up to maybe the third chapter in my Russian book, and frankly, I’m drawing blanks at this point. I don’t have a freaking clue what perfect present tense is or subjunctives are or anything. So, I decided to put Russian down for a while until I can figure out what all this crap is. As a matter of fact, I’m actually thinking about learning German first. Figured I should try learning a second language that came from Latin before I branch out into non-Latin ones. German’s probably one of the easier languages for an English-speaker to learn. Definitely not “piss-easy” but at least I know what the letters are and have some sort of idea how to use them.
Kinda sucks that I’m having to back-track like this, but I think it’s the only hope I have for moving forward in any foreign language(s) I wanna learn.
Carlo says:
Yeah I hate it when that happens. Happened to me when I tried to learn Japanese.
Anyway good luck to you man.
