Boredom…
I sure could go for a good game of Guild Wars right about now. I’ve got a bloody four-hour break between two classes on Thursdays…and it’s agonizingly boring. -.-; I’m sitting here in a lab in the tech hall trying to keep myself occupied until 1:00 (currently 11:04 AM). Thankfully, these machines have Photoshop and Notepad on ‘em…so maybe I can keep myself busy with them…too bad I have designer’s block. <_<;;
On another note, in Vista, I haven’t had any luck getting Assassin’s Creed to run until yesterday, but it would only run in DX9 mode. A lot of folks said to try killing the internet connection before attempting to run it because of some DRM Ubisoft implemented (I’m assuming it’s the auto-patcher they speak of). I did that yesterday and it ran for about 45 minutes and then crashed. IT LOOKED AWESOME TOO! Dx After some googling, I found that AC doesn’t support 64-bit systems. And yes, the last patch (v1.02) for it supposedly fixed that problem…but it didn’t for me. Some people say it’s running flawlessly on there x64 DX10 setups (most of which are using ATI graphic cards), but everyone else that is having the same problem as I am are using 8800 nVidia cards. And here I was finally thinking “YES! It works! =D -blue screen of death/restart- ……DAMMIT! xO” Hopefully Ubi’s working on another (better) patch. Aside from that little meander with AC, all the other games I’ve put on it run perfectly. COD4 has better frame-rates than it did in XP, and Crysis looks TONS better but suffers from slower frame-rates because of it. But then, I don’t suppose setting it at 1600×1200 at very high settings helps out much though. xP Guild Wars looks pretty much the same as it did in XP. I have yet to install Bioshock and The Witcher, but I’ll probably get around to it this weekend sometime. I may set up a partition for XP just in case I want to play AC again. At least I know it’ll work better in the 32-bit XP OS. I wish I could say I’m looking forward to putting the Witcher back on, but that game is buggy as hell. Maybe it’ll play nice on Vista…hopefully. <.<;
Sorry dudes, I tend to drone on and on and on when I’m bored. You can relax now, I’m done. =P

I got AC to run on my computer just fine =P And I’ve pretty much got the same setup you do. Could be that it’s cause mines pirated <<; Though I didn’t play it all the way through. Just 1/3 since I already beat it on the 360.
Anyway hope you can get that resolved. o=
