The past week was an interesting one. I contacted my dentist last week and asked him if I may come hang around his office and watch him work on his patients. He told me that I was more than welcome, and said he’d be there on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. So, I went to stay with my grandpa while I drove back and forth to Dr. Hemby’s. I got to see all kinds of neat things. I witnessed a root canal, a deep cleaning, a ton of crowns/fillings/cavity removals, a regular cleaning/checkup, and two tooth extractions. Had no idea about that stuff before Monday and Tuesday. So I’m quite excited about it all again. Before I went, I was struggling really hard with the thought of doing that as a career, but after watching Dr. Hemby, I think I’d enjoy it. Nothing about it grossed me out or bothered me at all. About the worst thing about it all was the smell that came from grinding teeth (or as Dr. Hemby puts it, “gently polishing”), but that was a very minor issue. I can surely say I now know why dentists make more than the average doctor. A single crown costs about $1100 each, metal pins used for implants cost $3000 each, and root canals cost anywhere from $800 to $900+ depending on how many roots are done. I’m gonna try to up the ante with my credit hours at school and see if I can get out sooner. I’m ready to go on to UNC.

Now, for the next little bit of business. I finally got a long-awaited paycheck Thursday, and immediately ordered two replacement analog sticks for my Nintendo 64 controllers, and bought Conker’s Bad Fur Day off of eBay as well. I’ve been itching to replay Ocarina of Time and Goldeneye 007 so bad I can’t hardly stand it. And Banjo-Kazooie too. That game was sooo awesome. It’s really hard for me to believe that that system and these games are over 12 – 13 years old. Seems like it was only yesterday that it was the hottest system on the shelves. Can’t wait to re-live it with no snags from those old worn out thumbsticks! xDD

And for the last bit, me and my brother are gonna go check out The Dark Knight. We haven’t seen Batman Begins though, and we’re gonna rent it and watch before we go see TDK. I dunno whether it ties in with TDK or not, but what the hell, eh? Looking forward to it. :3

BTW, do you dudes still use MSN or not? Cause I haven’t talked to Carlo in almost, what, two months? Seriously, like every time I sign in, nobody is on at all. Or either I’m not signing in at the right time. ;_;
