Wrapped up

Finally finished off my online class, got out with more than enough points for a guaranteed A…I wanna know why ACA is a requirement…it’s a frickin’ joke……oh well, A. -shrug- As much of a joke as that class was, I actually liked the way they had it set up. They pretty much had every module for the entire semester up and available to work on, so it was a “go at your own pace” course. Coulda finished it in a matter of days had I made myself do it. But, it’s outta the way and I aced it, that’s the important thing I guess. Now that I’ve knocked that down, I might try getting back into my Russian. I’ve been neglecting it too much. =o

My brother rented Meet the Spartans Sunday, and I gotta say that it was a disappointment. When I saw the previews, I thought “Man, this looks like it’ll be funny as hell.” When I saw the movie (the “Unrated ‘Pit of Death’ version”) I chuckled at a few things here and there, but it was hardly something I would deem as “gut-busting” or “side-splitting.” I swear, if you’ve already seen Scary Movie 3 & 4 and all these other spoof movies they keep releasing you won’t really find anything new here. The thing that really turned me off to this film was that they seemed to try too hard to be stupid. Seemed like the spoofiness in Scary Movie & Epic Movie was more natural than this one. Overall, it might make you just kinda chuckle, but unless you are extremely easy to amuse (or intoxicated perhaps) I’d say go get something else. But, if you absolutely have to see it, rent it, don’t buy it. S’not worth it. ;x

And added two new games to my collection last week. Picked up a copy of Assassin’s Creed and I’ve been getting rather addicted to it I must say. I love the counter attacks and the hidden blade. It’s fun running through the streets and tackling people too. I like to piss off the guards and fight off a whole slew of ‘em with the short blade. The storyline’s getting a little more juicier too. I’m down to one last assassination before I go after whatever that French dude’s name is from the beginning of the game (yay vagueness!). The other game is The Settlers: Rise of an Empire. Settlers is a real-time strategy game where you basically establish towns/cities and try to build an empire from the ground up. It’s not as battle-oriented as Warcraft or Battle Realms, which is a plus in my book. I usually like to just build things in these games anyway and deal with the towns economy than fight off enemy territories. It’s not quite as fun as Assassin’s Creed or FPS games, but it’s a great cycle-breaker. :3

Assassin’s Creed gives you a real case of blue balls in the end, and it gets really repetitive. :(

Yey for easy A’s! S’how all my classes ended up being. So yey for being on the Dean’s List for all three trimesters! Woo!
And yeah most spoof movies have been disappointing lately. I think Scary Movie 3 was the pinnacle of the recent run of spoofs. After that they all went downhill. Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, Superhero Movie, etc. All sucked. I miss the olden days with Leslie Nielsen and all his hilarious spoofs. <3
And yey for Assassin’s Creed! Agreed mainly with what Rob said but despite that, it is one of the preetiest things to look both on the 360 and the PC. I hope part of the engine will be used for the new Prince of Persia game though. That’d be pretty slick.

Yeah, I’m beginning to feel the repetitiveness of it, and I’ve also been dreading the abrupt ending to come. Still an enjoyable game non-the-less though.
