Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
After recently finishing the live action drama of Nodame Cantabile, I immediately went on a hunt the soundtrack and thanks to the guys at Nipponsei I found it pretty easily. In celebration of making such a find, I’ll share with you one piece that I think personifies the manga/drama/anime fairly well and that is Mozart’s “Variations on ‘Ah! vous dirai-je, Maman.’” In case you’re ever on Jeopardy, here’s a little tidbit that may come in handy. Ah! vous dirai-je, Maman is an old French folk song whose melody was transferred to other songs such as the ABCs, Bah Bah Black Sheep, and as noted by the title, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Oh and in case you can’t take the hint, I really, really, really like this drama. =P

Yeah! It’s a semi-popular piece to play since its all fun yet still fairly technical. I also first heard it at one of my childhood piano recitials from an older kid O= I complete forgot about it till I heard this song :3
