Felt a bit creative
I felt kinda creative a while ago. I opened up Photoshop and started making a graphic of Vash the Stampede of Trigun. I don’t have any custom brushes yet, so I used what I had. What I did with this was cut out the render of Vash with the pen tool and transfered it to this new canvas with a black background. I made two copies of the render and placed one in the middle of the graphic, and the other on the left-hand side, moving each one up above the other from right to left, then setting the copies with a slight transparency. After placing the renders, I picked a grunge-ish sort of brush from the default set and set them to a high pixel width and clicked multiple times throughout the canvas to cover up all the negative space and (hopefully) apply a sort of interesting texture to it. After using different brushes and sizes and colors, I typed in the letters and set them up via blending options; color overlay to give the letters a red color, stroke to put a black border around the letters, and a bit of an orange/yellow outer glow. I don’t really feel like it’s done, but this is the work-in-progress image that I’ve managed to create so far.

What would you guys suggest here? =o

Not bad o= Would look nicer if you blended Vash into the background a little or something to make him stand out a little less. The way he is now looks very cut and paste =P But besides that I like the background and text. What it mean btw? o=

@ Rob: Sorry for all the PS gibberish up there. Just telling what I did to get the effect shown. =P
@Carlo: Yeah, now that you mention it, Vash does have that cut/paste look. I’ll play around with it some after school today. As for the wording, pronunciation-wise it’s “Vash chyem paneechyeskoye byegstvo.” “ВАШ” means ‘Vash’ and “ЧЕМ” supposedly means ‘the’ and the last two words are what I pulled out of my dictionary for stampede. Speaking of which, I need to remove ЧЕМ. I forgot that Russians don’t use articles like “a” and “the”. It made no sense after I put it in a translator. Said “Your -something- panic exodus.” -snicker- Panic exodus. x3

M’kay, I made some corrections to the wording and dabbed a little bit of transparent orange above Vash and added an outer glow around him.
Whatcha think?
