Pure loser-ness follows.
Gentlemen, I’m afraid that what you have on your hands is an individual with absolutely no life -DUN DUN DUN-…okay, so maybe none of us really have much of a life seeing as how we game (I guess Rob will be gaming with the new rig he’s building, yes?).
To make a not quite as long as it could be but still moderately long story short, I bought WoW and let it patch up, created a character and started playing today. Made an orcish hunter. Great solo class in WoW or so I hear.
As far as gameplay goes, it’s not bad at all. You can control your character with the WASD keys, the arrow keys or the mouse. Go find yourself a monster and right-click and you pretty much go from there. For some reason, it sort of reminds me of SilkRoad, what with the environment and all. Still don’t really think it should be charged monthly though. Maybe it’ll get more fun as I go along and level higher. I’ve got my hunter to level 6 now (on the verge of 7).
And Carlo, if you decide to try it out I play on the Malfurion server as “Napenmak”. Make sure you download/install/patch the client first and foremost before setting up your account ’cause they’ll chip away at it everyday regardless of whether you have it installed or not.
Rob says:
Oh, there shall be gaming. CSS, COD4, UT3, TF2, Portal, ahhh I shall enjoy.
BTW, my case arrived yesterday^^b I ended up getting a variation on the Cooler Master 830 (mine is in black with an LEd on the fonrt 120mm fan). Should get the rest of the parts today or tommorrow.
Although, I completely forgot to buy a CD/DVD-R/RW drive XD. gonna hit Best Buy or one of the local stores for one later.

Ahh, neato! Yeah, my silver one came with a blue LED intake fan and then I got 4 blue LED side fans to mount on the side. One of them doesn’t light up but that’s just cause I have it plugged in to a 2-pin molex instead of a 4-pin. Anyway, hope you can get it up and running without any hassles and I hope you can figure out what’s up with your card.
Definitely check out Crysis while you’re at it. Just be warned it has an abrupt ending unfortunately. They better come out with a sequel soon! >=X

Yeah the only thing I can’t really grasp about MMOs is the whole grinding thing. It’s fine the first three hours, but after that it just loses its appeal. So yeah I’m still tentative about playing WoW, even if it’s free =P I’d need a kickass review from you to actually get me interested.
Edit: Okay screw it. I’m downloading it right now. Gonna take 8 hours though =P

If I were good at writing reviews, I’d give ya one, but the best way you can see for yourself is to just play it. I haven’t made it too far into it yet. =o
I’ll probably be on tomorrow in the evening. One thing to take into consideration though. I picked a race (orc) that belongs to The Horde. The Alliance is the opposing faction, so if you go with a race that falls under the alliance, we’ll be like enemies in the game. Such races are humans, night elves, gnomes, dwarves, etc. The Horde is orcs, undead, tauren, etc. Read up on it on WoW’s website.

Carlo says:
Yeah I already know all that o= You forget that I’ve got a ton of nerd friends who’ve played the game so I’ve got the basics down. Just gotta learn all that lingo <<;
Thinking about either a Blood Elf/Orc Rogue or a Troll/Undead Priest. That way if we play together, you can tank and I’ll support.

And I’ve made an Undead Rogue named Rubato o= Yey me. I got up to level six before my brain started to fizzle =P So I’m taking a break for a while.
