Rainbows, Medics, and Spartans

Anyone else out there download Radiohead’s new album In Rainbows? I just started listening to it so can’t really review it right now. If you’re interested in their new album, they’ve got it available online for free. Well not technically free. It’s basically pay what you think it’s worth. So you can put in $0.00 if you don’t want to pay, which I did. But hey I’m no cheapskate. If I like the album, I’m gonna go back and pay $15-20 depending. So anyway just thought I’d give you guys a heads up on that.

In other fun news, I had a gaming bonanza this weekend. Pre-ordered the Orange Box the day before it came out and then my roomates friend brought over Halo 3, so I’ve been freakin’ busy with games x3. Oh yeah the Orange Box is a set of three games. Half-Life 2: Episode 2 [ sequel to Half-Life 2 ], Portal [ creepy puzzle game ], and Team Fortress 2 [ may be my new multiplayer love ]. I’ve already beaten Ep 2 [ twice ] and Portal [ three times ]. Both’re excellent games though on the short side. Portal really surprised me. I thought it was just a puzzle game, but it actually has a nice, and really creepy, plot. Portal also has one of the best credits song ever, movies included. Though to truely appreciate it you need to play through the game. I may offer it as a bonus in my next rotation.

As for Team Fortress 2. Holy hell that game is awesome. Was daunted at first with there being 9 different classes to choose from, but after playing for an hour you learn who does what. So far my favorite classes are scout, engineer, and medic. Fairly good with scout and medic, still learning how to use an engineer well. Just hope everyone else learns quickly. It’s getting annoying with half the team still learning how to play. But hey it just got released this week so I can’t get too bitchy about that. Though I did get bitched at when I was an engineer for the first time. Some ass was saying “We need an engineer! We need an enginner!” And since he didnt step up, I did even though it was the first time I used it. Then the dumbass bitched about how I sucked. That’s one bad point about online =/ So yeah once everyone gets good, it should get a lot more fun.

And then there was Halo 3!! First thing we did was play four player slayer! Considering I hadnt played a Halo game in almost 3 years, I didn’t do badly at first. Got second place on the first two games, third on the third. After a while more people came and we played against them. Then after more games I started getting first more consistantly =D Which was totally awesome. I’m sure I’ll be up to my previous Halo stature of beating the crap out of all my friends o=

So yeah that’s all I have to update on at the moment. I better go before my grammar gets even worse. Hope that was a somewhatly interesting read.

    Ahh, so that’s where you’ve been, eh? :P

    Sounds like you’re having too much fun with those games…if only I had cable, a 360, and didn’t have ten billion expensive things I wanted to buy all at once, I’d be right there with ya. D;
