Time to get serious
I went to speak to the career counselor today at school about me getting into dental school and what all I need to do in order to get in. For one thing, I may have to switch my major again. Right now, I’m in liberal arts, heading towards an Associate’s in Arts, but seeing as how there’s a lot of biology and chemistry involved with dental courses at UNC, I believe I may have to switch to either a biology or chemistry major, and work my way up to an Associate’s in Science. The only options I have at this point are to talk to the admissions advisor here at Sandhills or contact UNC and find out what I need to do. I’m gonna call ‘em tomorrow and see what they say.
Seeing as how I’ve set this goal for myself, I have something to work for now. I want to buckle down and work harder in my studies. I may not be online as much as I have been as a result. Procrastinating isn’t going to get me anywhere with this, and it’s a habit I have got to break. It’s going to be hard, but I’ve gotta try. Otherwise, I may never make it in to dental school. So, I won’t be on much until perhaps the weekends depending on what all I have to do. I gave Carlo my number, so feel free to call whenever on the weekends, and Rob I guess I’ll see ya when I drop in on this site.

Yeah good luck with all that dude. A tip though. It may be a good idea to go with something other than a bio or chem major. Try picking another major that will separate you from the pack of others applying for dental school ’cause I’m sure that most of them will have majors in bio/chem. You need to choose a major that’ll get your prerecs for dental school but will also single you out. Not sure what choices you have but you can ask your advisor when you go. Unless you already went. =P
But just keep that in mind. There’ll be a lot of people interested in going and you need someway to make you stand out from them and that’s one of the easier things to do. [ Not easy as in class-wise, but as in choice-wise :3 ]
